Description of the species:  
Shrubbery up to 2,5 m heights with arcuate pendent sticks.
Used part of the plant:  
False fruit with or without nutlets, nutlets.
Natural area:  
European part of Russia, the Caucasus, West Europe, Turkey, Iran, Central Asia.
Conditions of growth:  
Single-growing or tracely in dumetums, on forest edges, along riversides, as well as on barren land and along roads. Low and high-mountain zone occurrence.
Period of collection:  
September – November.
Collection method:  
They pick completely matured fruits of wild rose. Before drying they cut fruits and extract seeds, if they need them separately or the remedy is required without seeds.
Material processing:  
It should be very quick artificial drying at 40°С.
Storage:  
Material should keep in well closable container, to preserve reactants.
Components specification:  
A lot of vitamin C, other vitamins (A, B, B2, K, P), mineral substances, organic acids, flavonoids, tannin and sugar; vanillin in seeds.
Major components:  
Ascorbic acid.
Features of the oil:  
Antioxidant, general health-improving, astringent, carminative, diuretic, uric acid excurrent and others.
Indications:  
Asthenia, lower immunity, seasonal catarrh and influenza, febrilily, functional dyspepsia, nephrolithiasis, cystitis, gout and others.
Possible usage:  
In food industry as vitaminizator; in perfumery and cosmetic industry.
