Perennial of 50 -200 cm heights.

Above-ground part, roots.
Natural area:
Overall Europe, Asian Near East and Central Asia, Northern Africa.
Conditions of growth:
On sod fields, pastures and wastes, along roads, on basin banks.
Period of collection:
July – August.
Collection method:
Manual; transportation to production site within 3-12 hours.
Material processing:
Steam distillation, for receiving ether oil.
Storage:
Dry clean space.
Components specification:
thujone, cinneole, boras camphor, pinenes.
Major components:
thujone, cineole.
Features of the oil:
antispasmodic, wound healing, diuretic, stumulating appetite, tonic, cholagogic; stumulate uterine activity, regulate menstrual function.
Indications:
emaciation, sleeplessness, different neurosis, catarrhal diseases, malaria, influenza, epilepsy, uterine dysfunction with cyclic abnormalities.
Possible usage:
Pharmaceutics; in perfumery for aromatization and enrichment of massage oils, soap, cosmetic masks, creams, lotions; for insecticides.
Fragrance:
Strong bittersweet, with camphor nuance.
